Re:        Runway pavement repair.

Beginning Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from 0600z – 1500z runway 16/34 will be closed southeast of Taxiway B for asphalt repair work. During this work, there will be 7,150-feet of runway available for takeoff and landing on runway 34, or takeoff on runway 16.  Due to the displaced threshold, there will be 6,350– feet available for landing runway 16.

 

Markings and Lighting

1.        A white threshold bar will be placed across the runway just south of Taxiway B.

2.        Two yellow chevrons will be placed south of the temporary threshold bar pointed in the direction of the open portion of the runway.

3.        Threshold lights will be placed in alignment with the temporary threshold.

4.        The runway distance remaining signs for Runway 16 will be obscured.

5.        Orange and white barricades with red flashing lights will be placed just south of Taxiway Q on Taxiway A.

NOTE:  THE ENTIRE RUNWAY WILL BE CLOSED ON 10/10 FROM 0600 TO 0630 Z, TO CONFIGURE THE RUNWAY FOR PARTIAL RUNWAY CLOSURE AND AGAIN FROM 1430 TO 1500 Z TO FACILITATE REOPENING. THE FULL CLOSURE NOTAM WILL BE CARRIED LOCALLY WITH ATC AND ON THE ATIS
